We're not your traditional book club

Definitely not! This membership can be cancelled any time you want. Your plan renews on the 5th of each month, so email us by the 1st of the month if you want it to be effective that month. If you email after the 1st, it will cancel the following month.

It's similar to our other events; it will be a 90-minute event with quiet reading time and social time. We'll spend slightly more time socializing since members will tend to know each other better, but it will still be loosely facilitated by the host. These events will be hosted in a Seattle small business and include one treat. You will have access to a Discord channel for members so you can see who's attending that event or not. Guests are not allowed to attend these events; they are truly for members only!

They will be in October, January, April, and July. Exact day, time, and location will be communicated via email beforehand, but they will be always be in the Seattle area and an evening or weekend. Members of "The Novel" will get input on these events via survey.

Your discount will apply automatically to any applicable purchase on Seattlebookclub.com when you're logged in and checking out as a member—no code needed, and it's good for unlimited events, every month. **Discounts only apply for your ticket (one ticket per event per month); if you are a member of "The Novel" then you can get one ticket for a friend for 50% off once per month.

Once a month, you can bring a friend to an event (excluding the members-only event) and get 50% off their ticket. Just add them as your guest at checkout — the discount applies to one event per month; it does not roll over if you don't use it.
